PETA... yep... I'm going there.
Hello dear reader, welcome back. If you're a first time reader, perhaps you should start elsewhere on my page, just a warning. I'm super feisty right now and I figured I'd come here… to the sanctuary for my mind! If you haven't read any of my blogs yet, please note that I typically don't edit my thoughts. As I say them, that's how I write them. The only editing done is if I misspell a word, perform incorrect punctuation, etc. Intro in the bag… here we go… PETA. (maybe now I'll get some comments)
Firstly, let me say this, I do not, have never, and will never condone the unnecessary cruel treatment to any animal for any entertainment value. Entertainment value meaning cock fights, dog fighting, etc. Forcing animals to fight one another for the pure entertainment and profit is morally wrong. I watch UFC though because we as humans know better and thereby are choosing. Let me also say that I understand full and well that not everyone who supports PETA agrees with everything they say but that doesn't excuse the hypocrisies they routinely perform on a daily basis.
PETA - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Let's break this down just a little bit, "ethical." Ethical - (dictionary on my Mac) of or relating to moral principles or the branch of knowledge dealing with these. Let's break that one down a little more. Moral - (again from my Mac dictionary) concerned with the principles of right and wrong behavior and the goodness or badness of human character.
Why did I bring all that up? Morals. What defines "right and wrong?" If you're answer is anything other than the Bible or God, you're incorrect. The Bible clearly states that "you may slaughter your animals in any of your towns and eat as much of the meat as you want." God's words not mine. He said it is so, and so it is.
However, let's go beyond that because this isn't a sermon or Bible lecture. PETA scolds, belittles, and downright terrorizes those who oppose it. If you eat meat, wear animal byproducts, or even partake in milk and honey… you're the enemy. PETA is quite clear about their desire for the "liberation" of the animals. PETA mouthpiece Gary Yourofsky goes to high schools and preaches the "good word" to students still eager for guidance and soak up his words like a sponge. What cracks me up is that all the while, he wears shirts made from wool and belts made from leather. I suppose leather is some man-made material isn't it? Nope.
Fact: PETA takes in animals and provides housing and food. Fact: They purchased a 10x12 foot refrigerator. Fact: PETA has "put to sleep forever" more animals than it saves. These are facts and they are indisputable.
PETA also supports terrorism like I mentioned. Don't believe me? Google the name "Rodney Coranado." This man has firebombed many animal research facilities and testing facilities. These are the same facilities that provide necessary research to cure diseases such as bird and swine flu, mumps, measles, chicken pox, etc. This man goes around to town hall style meetings telling people and showing them how to make homemade incendiary devices so that they too can blow up these institutions. "PETA doesn't support radicals" I can hear you mutter to yourself. On the contrary, a few years back, PETA's tax forms were evaluated. They are a public entity and all forms are public knowledge and you can see this for yourself but I'll spare you the details. They donated $45k bucks to the "Rodney Coranado Support Committee." Proof enough?
I can hear you asking for more proof of hypocrisy. By all means, here you go as requested. Mary Beth Sweetland. Google her if you want but I'll save you the time. Vice President of PETA. She's a type A insulin dependent diabetic. Of course we know that insulin was used on animals first to measure the effectiveness of the drug on humans. GASP! It can't be! Well, yes… it can. Moreso, bovine and fish insulin is so close to that of the human counterpart, that it's often used for human injection. Yep, the drug keeping her alive is the very drug that makes her a hypocrite. However, she would prefer my brother who is also insulin dependent not use it because "that" is animal cruelty.
Folks, again, let me reiterate that I will not stand by and watch someone beat a dog unconscious simply because they can. I don't stand for excessive cruelty to animals. However, I do believe that God put animals on His Earth for us to use and consume as directed in the Bible. I know, as many radicals as they are in PETA and it's supporting groups (like ALF - Animal Liberation Front), there are that many radicals who abuse animals beyond ways I believe to be necessary. However, claiming you cannot own a pet (even as a seeing eye dog) because it's cruel is lunacy. Being told we cannot drink milk or consume honey because it's cruel to cows and bees is downright psychotic.
Please, don't take what I say without doing your own research. I'm merely trying to level the playing field and show you that just because someone screams long enough, loud enough, and often enough… doesn't mean they don't have their own hypocritical skeletons hiding away. There are already laws protecting the rights of animals (Google Michael Vick if you don't believe me). PETA is just another radical group that puts on a nice happy front and would rather not be revealed for what it really is. Everyone has an agenda. Remember that when you sign up for something.

Through an FSR's POV

Hello all,

Afghanistan this time of year...
Well, I'm at FOB Delaram II. It's pretty quite around here. I was at Kandahar Airfield for a while there but things changed. I was sent to Camp Leatherneck to support the Marines. Shortly after arriving there, my services were needed at Delaram... so here I am.

An E-mail I just had to post!

So below is a copy (edited for easier reading purposes) of an e-mail that I read. It was sent to me by a close friend and I have to admit, it makes you truly think. It also makes you wonder just how out of touch Obama is with this country. Granted, I would've had to do a little research to find all this information because I'm not a perfect American citizen (most people in America aren't). However, you'd hope that the person literally holding the pen that our country answers to knows what he's talking about, especially in a foreign country. Sad truth of the matter is that the folks he was talking to probably know more about American History than President Barack Hussein Obama does. Hussein, that whole debacle of is that or isn't that acceptable to say still gets me.
AN AMERICAN CITIZEN'S RESPONSE:
Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians.
Bill of Rights? Didn't think so.
And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the "rich heritage" Muslims have here in America .
And now we can add November 5, 2009 - the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a doctor and a psychiatrist who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan .

Just a little political rant
So, after watching the video, I did what he told me to. I went on The Huffington Post and read a little bit. I mean, he named Rush Limbaugh, and since I listen to Limbaugh, I should read The Huffington Post. Here's one thing I found on that site. They talked about how Obama was once cherished and loved yet now he's demonized and swore at. They then likened this to Pres. Bush's term in office. Here's how they put it. They said that Bush, just after 9/11, got on a pile of debris, and gave a speech for the history books. Everyone cheered and screamed "USA, USA!" Then, after his flyover of Katrina's wake, folks thought very differently of him. Now, they may have had good reason to hate Bush at this point. I'll acknowledge that I did no research on Bush's politics about Katrina so I'm not exactly sure if he handled it correctly. Here's where I got confused. They then compared this with Pres. Obama. Saying that upon getting into office, he was so eloquent and gave wonderful speeches and everyone loved him. Then, after the BP oil spill, everyone hated him and called him names. Bush fought for America from 9/11 on and it wasn't until nearly 4 years later that Katrina happened and everyone hated him. Obama did nothing but give speeches to get people to love him. A year and a half later, he does nothing when the BP oil spill happens and now people hate him. The difference here, Bush actually did his job.
Now I don't see Pres. Obama daily and I sure don't know what he does on a regular basis. However, there are very real problems out there that America is facing and he's busy playing golf, giving "graduation" speeches at colleges, and going on vacations using our taxpaying dollars.
Obama, in this speech, also quoted the old adage of "Do unto others as you'd have them treat you." So let me throw this scenario out there. Let's say you're a boss. You give Joe the job of overseeing the watercooler. His job is to make sure everything's ok with it. Joe decides that he doesn't want to leave his office and just says "The watercooler is fine." Then, the watercooler springs a sizable leak flooding the breakroom. Now instead of the boss going to Joe for answers, he jumps straight at the watercooler manufacturer for answers. Do you see the parallel here? Instead of Pres. Obama jumping straight to BP for answers, he should've demanded answers from the very people he put in charge to oversee it's operations.

Elena Kagan... The Next Sotomayor!
So let me get this straight. She has no experience. No one even knew who she was prior to being chosen. She attacks our military, the very entity sworn to protect this great land. Starting to sound familiar. That's right, Mr. Obama himself has a near mirror image ideology. So why are we surprised that she was chosen? Well I speak for myself when I say, I'm not surprised. Then again, I suppose Obama will do whatever he wants for the next couple of months. Afterall, all his pals in Congress are slowly getting wiped from cushiony seats and being replaced with better choices.
I know there's not really much we can do about the Supreme Court Justice picks since we don't vote for them, but just make a mental note when election time for the Presidency comes back up. Should another Supreme Court Justice decide to retire in the coming years or God forbid one get fatally ill, do we really want President Obama to be able to elect another radical leftist who hates America and have a very powerful seat as a Supreme Court Justice? I sure don't want to see that happen again. So you'd better be damned sure that come election time, my happy keister will be sitting there voting for Mitt Romney in 2012. My hopes are that he chooses Mr. Mike Huckabee as his VP but if not, I'm sure he'll have a good second in command. Perhaps Huckabee could hold another position... say Secretary of the Treasury... oooh oooh, or he could be the IRS Czar and perhaps scheme to get them out of jobs! FairTax 2012!

Abortion v. Feticide
Right off the bat, all sorts of things are wrong here. Firstly, this lady probably shouldn't have had a kid to begin with. My assumption here was it was accidental. She is now being charged with feticide. Make no mistake here, I am in full agreement with the law here. She should be charged with the death of her unborn child. However, this opens up the mind to the subject matter at hand, abortion.
Abortion is the means by which you terminate the fetus by means of removing forcefully from the body. Depending on how far along the fetus is, depends on how graphic and how wrong the means go. Obviously, the further along the child (because let's face it, fetus doesn't do justice, there IS a human being in there) you have to ultimately stop it's heart from beating. I understand the heart beat starts very early but some people don't accept it as a child until the 3rd trimester. For agreement sake, I'll PRETEND I believe that (which I clearly don't, it's a child from conception).
So here is where this is all going. I got this definition straight off Wikipedia (which some would argue as not being a reliable source).
--Feticide or foeticide is an act that causes the death of a fetus.[1] In a legal context, "fetal homicide" or "child destruction" refers to the deliberate or incidental killing of a fetus due to a criminal human act, such as a blow to the abdomen of a pregnant woman. As a medical term, feticide is destruction of a fetus,[2] for example as the first phase of a legal induced abortion.[3] Feticide does not refer to the death of a fetus from entirely natural causes, such as the miscarriage of a pregnancy.--
Notice that it agrees that abortion is a form of feticide. The Gov't has just been subject to contradiction (big surprise there). The minute Roe v. Wade passed into law followed by the moment the first person was charged with feticide, the Gov't officially is contradicting itself. The Gov't says that any woman is allowed to have an abortion in a legal method to a specific point. However, if for some reason a woman gets into a car crash forcing an abortion, she is charged with a crime. Where do the lines end here?
This is the big issue with abortions in the first place. As a society, we've gotten comfortable with the idea that people are going to have premarital sex. While I know this will probably never be stopped, we need to focus more of our time on youths having sex. That's where the big problem lies. Kids are told at an early age that they will not be able to prevent having sex before marriage so you may as well just be "safe" about it. What happened to waiting for the right person and marrying them? Granted, I'm not perfect and I'm guilty as charged here. However, I've learned and was fortunate enough not to have gotten severe diseases. If we, as a society, would place more value on the sanctity of our children and teaching them right from wrong and how to resist peer pressure instead of letting the entertainment sector teach our kids, abortions would become less of an issue.
It's a slippery slope folks. As someone told me on my social networking page, can you even fathom what would've happened if Beethoven's mom decided she wasn't ready after becoming pregnant and aborted him? Could you "imagine" what would've happened is Mrs. Lennon decided she didn't want a kid named John? What if your mother decided it wasn't a good time for her to have a child?
Folks, it's time to face reality. Our country has lost it's way. We need to put God back where he belongs in this country. Without God, chaos and darkness will fill the voids.
Please give me your insight. I'd love to hear what you have to say. I can only assume this topic will get the most comments on a post I've gotten since starting this blog but I want to know what you think. I haven't covered the entire scope of abortion but in all honesty, I don't need to. It's simple. You agree it's ok, or you don't. The only topic that I even remotely think has any opposing ground on is rape. Even that topic is being skewed. If you get drunk one night and wind up pregnant from it, that is not rape. You put yourself into a different state of mind. Unless someone literally forced you to drink, you have no grounds here. This goes for guys getting a girl pregnant while their drunk too, it's not a gender specific topic like most people think. If you advertise yourself to the world, expect them to come calling.
So what do I believe? Abortion is wrong with two minor exceptions: 1, Rape in the sense as I just described. True rape. You were merely the target of some sadistic person who forcefully took his will upon yours without your consent. 2, If medically you will not survive the pregnancy, you have the option to let your child live without you, or you can make the hardest choice you'll ever have to make and give them up. Frankly, I wouldn't want to be in that situation and I sympathize greatly for you.

Obama's Oil Spill is his Katrina

So basically, I did a little research and this is what I believe to be true. These are the differences between Katrina and the oil spill.
-Katrina was not preventable, this was without question.
-The state ignored Bush's offers to help, in this case the state of Louisiana is asking for help and being ignored. Impressive huh?
-The media was crucifying Bush 2 weeks after Katrina, and today they ignore Obama's failure. Not only ignoring, but they are making it seem as if he was there and was planning on fixing this from the beginning.

In the news lately

So I'm back after a little bit of a break. I've had some things pop up (like not acquiring a certification I've been working on) and I've been a little off track since. However, back with a brand new post and some more... news.
Let's start with Obama (why not right?). Lately, he's been spouting off about an economic reform bill. He claims that he will veto any bill that has pork or wastefull spending. First off, I've heard that claim before. Secondly, he has got some real nerve. While I agree that wasteful spending and pork projects are quite a deterrant when it comes to Gov't laws and mandates, don't yell at Congress about pork and spending when you've spent trillions of taxpayers hard earned money without any kind of oversight. Yes, I know, he's fixing Bush's mistakes and he just signed into the law the health care bill. However, we all know by this point that the health care bill had so much pork in it, we could've served 4 plates of food to each American (including the illegals)!
Then he starts spewing the garbage out his lips that makes me feel ashamed he's our president. He wants to make sure that any economic reform bill has "full transparency and oversight." You know, I remember him claiming this way back when he was running for president. Since then, we've had nothing but backroom deals, hidden agendas, and a definite lack of transparency. In fact, I vaguely remember Nanci Pelosi being quoted (and this was an audio clip I heard with my own ears) after being asked what's in the health care reform bill as saying "When it passes you'll see what's in it." Oh yeah? That my friends is true transparency! Yep, here's a bill. However, instead of showing you exactly what's inside, we'll just wait and let you figure all the little pieces of crap we've really put in this. Transparency my big toe! Trust me on this, Nanci Pelosi wasn't alone. Her boss also was just secretive as she (and her Congressional thugs) were.
Obama was also quoted as saying both "There are literally trillions of dollars sloshing around this market that basically changes hands under the cover of darkness," and later saying "we don't want history repeating itself." When he says these two lines, here's what he's really saying: "I've spent tons of your money you're realizing that I am pretending like it's my personal piggy bank so no more after today, no more," and "we don't want history repeating itself. Remember last time a president sucked this bad, he served one term and then Reagan became president."
Obama was quoted shortly thereafter as saying "we need accountablitiy on Wall Street." Well, to be quite honest Mr. President, we needed accountability in the White House too but ever since we elected you, you've done nothing but pointed fingers about where the blame should go. Take some responsibility for your own actions, tell the people who you truly are (even if it is as radical as we all know it is), and be a man! You're crouching behind your Oval Office desk with a pen in your hand. Everytime you come on the air, I feel like we're not seeing the real you. While my views may not always be correct and a lot may not agree with them, I believe in what I believe and I stand firm in what I know! I'm also not afraid to admit when I'm wrong because God knows there are countless times where I've been wrong. I am glad our country took a huge leap in electing a black man as president. It shows truly what the American dream really is. Anyone who was born here (even if there's a chance you weren't), regardless of the color of their skin or their gender can become president. We've made mounds of progress. However, do you really want to go down in history as being the first black president who did nothing and didn't stand on any solid foundations?
Man, I feel like I'm on fire this morning folks!
Onto President Obama signing the bill HR 4851. This bill included a temporary extension of jobless benefits, including unemployment insurance, COBRA health care benefits, the Medicare "doc fix," and emergency flood insurance. I understand the unemployment is at an all time high. I know many close friends and relatives who are currently actively searching for jobs. However, not all people are of the caliber of the people I know. Not everyone who is on unemployment care to even have a job. By extending their benefits even longer, you're creating a nanny state, forcing the hard working taxpayers to foot their bill. Humor me for a second and stay with me on this. Let's say your boss comes to you one fine Tuesday morning. "Mr. X, you remember last year when we let Mr. Y and Mr. Z go? Well, they're still having trouble finding work. Mr. Y really doesn't want a job and Mr. Z is overqualified. We're going to dock your pay to help them out, we've already took the liberty." Not very fair is it? The Gov't is using their police power to force you and I to pay for others. I, of all people, understand how hard it is to get a job at times. I was unemployed for the better part of 6 months. I was frantically searching and even got my Class A Driver's license. I finally found a job right as my benefits were up. Remember, people work a lot harder when they realize the road is about to dead end. What can be done to prevent this? Read on!
The solution is simple. Cut those extensions as mentioned in the previous paragraph, lower the minimum wage, and enact the FairTax. Here's how this will work. Firstly, the FairTax will create a tax haven (America being that haven). Businesses will flock to us and create those jobs everyone's so desperately seeking. Then, naturally, the jobless benefits will become less of a need and thus, less Gov't spending is required. Lowering the minimum wage. Why? By keeping the minimum wage high, you're forcing inflation by an unnatural means. Plus, small businesses are what make America what it is. I'd take a shot in the dark by saying that 70-75% of all jobs created in America today are small businesses. If they can't give you the minimum wage (and it's now more than what I made in my first two jobs as a starting wage) then they'll have to fire folks, not hire folks, or even shut down. It's really very simple economics and I was never an economics major.
As far as the FairTax goes, I know it'll work and I'll eventually post a blog in simple terms as to how it works and why it will help. Another day, another post as this one has gotten quite lengthy.
Thanks for sticking with me and I hope I've opened your eyes, made you use your cranium, and quite possibly even fired you up! If you're mad as hell and want to put me in my place, comment. I'd love to hear from you!

An e-mail that I couldn't agree more with
Below the line is an e-mail I received. For the most part, I agree with his statements. I'm not a mason. I don't ride Harley's (though I've been privy to my family owning 3 at one point). My hero's aren't actors or bike builders, it's soldiers, firemen, policemen, and the honest teachers out there making a difference. For all intents and purposes, I have not changed this e-mail with the only exception being that I edited out a lot of spacing to conserve space, and I deleted some of the random pictures used throughout the e-mail (excepting, of course, the main pic which is the gentleman who posted this). He is right though. We need our country back. A country without God is a country that cannot stand on it's own for very long.

This is AMERICA ..We like it the way it is!
If you were born here and don't like it you are free to move to any Socialist country that will have you.
I want to know which church is it, exactly, where the Reverend Jesse Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and not the solution.
Can I get an AMEN on that one?

Blogspot... you suck today.

So I had this whole 15 paragraph blog all written out. I was signed in as usual and most of the time, I copy my post and put it in a notepad file before I post it in case something goes awry. This time, since it's been great up until now, I just posted without worry. Then, it asked me to login. After doing so, my post was gone. "An Error occurred."
Here is what I typed in a nutshell.
Osama sent us a video. Fake or not, he still must be stopped. He wants to kill as many American's as he can if we execute 9/11 Mastermind Kalid Sheikh Mohammad. Does he not realize that he's already killed Americans? What a moron.
Then I had about 12 paragraphs citing Obama over the years from 2002-2010. Going from his stance of not wanting to fund a "dumb war," to thinking our troops were there for the wrong reasons, and now because he sees his Presidental role at stake, he decided to take a trip to Afghanistan and pump up the troops saying we won't leave until a victory... even though he said just earlier this year that troops will be out by 2011. He's a liar... plain and simple... and cannot be trusted by any stretch.
Then I had a few paragraphs ranting on how awful the Healthcare bill is and that I haven't forgotten about it.
Ultimately folks, America IS the best country out there, period. Why do you think everyone hates us so much and wants to live here so badly? They're pissed because we make them look bad and they want to be here because they know they can live here freely and without persecution.
So thanks blogspot for deleting an hour of pure, awesome writing. You suck! However, like this post, I'll just remember to save all my writing until it's posted (like I am about to do now). Thanks a friggin' pantload for ruining my night.

The Public Option is a Public Disaster
The public option is simple. The Government is creating a new insurance company in the field of insurance companies. They will keep a low overhead keeping costs down. Simple right? Let me explain a few reasons why this isn't a good thing.
Firstly, the most obvious. When you're playing football, do you want the officials to be on one team and the players on another (assuming the referee's still control the rules of the game)? Of course not! Then, they could choose to not see a certain play. Same thing here. You're actually going to trust the Government to watch over itself and make sure it's playing ball correctly? Obama, in the interview, states that (not verbatum here) even though the Government option would be held accountable by the Government, EVERYONE is on the same rules. Great. One small hitch there Obama, the fact that you can monitor your Government Insurer and if something could work better if there was a law created, then guess what, let's make a law real quick to fix it! Unfair competition in the private sector. You talk of fairness but how exactly is this fair again?
Secondly, in the bill, it states that if a company doesn't conform to offering it's employees with healthcare, they'll be penalized immensely. Well, there goes small businesses. What you're saying is that locally owned small companies, such as one I used to work for, would have to offer up a healthcare plan or be penalized. That immediately would crush their profit and they'd have to do one of two things; close up shop or start firing employees. Way to help We the People Obama.
Thirdly, this just screams socialism. Think about the logic here. Assuming that the public option (Gov't run insurance) is indeed the cheapest out there, why wouldn't everyone use it? They would, people aren't complete fools. All other insurance companies would go belly up and suddenly, the Gov't controls ALL health insurance companies making it a complete monopoly in the field. What do you think a company does when it knows it's got a monopoly? Rates and fees go skyward. Fantastic.
Fourthly, not just healthcare anymore. Back when you were still a fresh, brand new thing trying to vie for the role of US President, you said that "...any bill that crosses my desk will be available to the public for 5 days before signing it." Now, I'm not sure about anyone else, but I never saw hide nor hair of that bill within the 24 hours or so it took to go from passage to signage. You sir, are a liar. Yes, a heart accusation but true none-the-less. Immediately you put yourself into a position to be questioned every waking minute of your presidency. How can I even trust you? You know what happens when an employer (that's We the People here) gets an employee (yes we voted you guys into power) who disobeys, lies, and cheats? They get fired. Get ready because it's time we start looking for fresh blood to fill your seats.
(from here on out, I'm stopping with the numerical beginnings because I'm not sure how long this might go as I am strictly going off-the-cuff here)
Next, in this same interview, you were asked if a universal healthcare plan was implemented, would you give up your healthcare for one that the people were provided with. You completely just ignored the question. Way to be honest.
Also in this interview, an exec from ETNA was put on the mic and talked about how instead of the Government creating a new entity to combat the free market, how about we just focus on making policies for the ones existing already. One thing rings out when I heard this gentleman ask this question. You claimed in the interview that ultimately this bill will bring many people to the insurance companies already in existance. If a top exec from one of the most well respected insurance companies doesn't agree with your claim, then obviously he knows something you're not telling us. Because naturally, being a business exec, the idea of thousands upon thousands flocking to his business is good news. However, he is fighting your claims. Something isn't stirring the Kool-Aid right now is it?
Then, you went on to talk of how great the Government runs things. You even cited Medicare and VA. You claimed how much people love them. Well, I know I covered this in a previous post a few days ago but do tell, why is it then that Medicare is near bankruptcy? Come to think of it, as I suggested a few days ago as well, no Gov't run agency is doing all that well (USPS, Social Security, etc.).
One thing I just thought of (and it probably wouldn't been more relavant earlier but as stated, this is off-the-cuff), if you, the Government, were running a public option and times were getting tough and profits weren't looking too good, what's stopping you from printing some more greenbacks and asking folks to donate to the public option for a tax kickback? Top that off with the printing of more money would lower the already dismal dollar to another record low (potentially throwing us into another depression).
Ultimately, there are WAY too many "what if's," provisions, rules, loop-holes, mandates, etc. for this to a viable healthcare bill. This bill (all 2700 pages of it) are crap and not even worth the paper they're printed on. This is the same argument for me wanting to implement The FairTax (which is another day's worth of posting). If it's not so simple that it's stupid, there is something wrong with it entirely. If you have to make so many mandates that it makes your head spin, you're bound to be lying somewhere in it and I'm pretty sure I've pointed out numerous ways this thing is flawed.
To my readers, I know this was a long post but I hope it was informative. If you think you have anything to add to it or if you think I'm a complete looney, then please comment below and let me know. I'm fired up and steaming about this and I'm surely not just going to "let it go." Thanks for reading!

Thanks already and keep me going!

So this post is designed for those folks who've already said they took a peek at my blog and loved it (because let's face it, no one hated it). However, I'm sure someone out there will eventually run across it and either do one of two things; they'll read it and completely disregard it and move on or they'll read it, feel disgusted, and tell me what they think. In either case, awesome! I'd rather they tell me what they think though. Why? Because when they do, that means I actually struck a chord and then we can get onto discussing why they feel the way they do. Most people love to be fawned over and made to believe they just know all and nothing they say is or will be false (perhaps our Commander in Chief feels this way... though I'm not accusing him of this). Besides, this isn't about those people, it's about you guys.
I love when people read my writings and tell me they loved it. It makes me begin to think that perhaps I truly can make a difference. It's the simple domino effect. If I can change one person's mind, they'll go on and change one person's mind, and so-on and so-forth. However, with the many folks that have told me they thought my blog was a good read, I can only assume it's more of a pyramid effect. Call all of this a little narcissism, call it the want to teach, call it the desire to uplift, call it what you want because at the end of the day, I'm loving every minute of it.
Now, to end this with a little more input. I know those of you who read this probably agreed with some of it (hopefully most of it). So what can We do ('We' meaning as in We the People)? Well, let me be the first (and if I'm not don't spoil it for the rest) to tell you all how we can help. We need to make sure that anyone who voted in favor of this healthcare bill know that what they did wasn't what the vast majority of the American's wanted. We need to send an overabundant wave of disgust to Washington through one of the greatest powers we were given. The vote! Sure it's sounds cliche but you must understand it is the main defense we have as everyday common citizens. Remember that those in power were once just like you and I. Some may have had a few more priveledges growing up than the rest but ultimately we all wanted the same things we did when we were young (don't laugh here at my age). Freedom.
If I may, I will finish this post up with me getting on my little soap box for a minute (because I'm tall enough that a large one isn't necessary). Freedom, regardless of what the suits in D.C. want to make you believe) is not free. It definitely comes with a price. Blood. Blood is the ulimate form of currency and thank God we have a superb military that is trumped by none. They've paid the price for all of us and for those of us who were unfortunately declined from serving, the most we can do is offer up our full support to those who chose to. I feel a little cut and a little empty inside when I hear people that can sit there and claim the military is doing a horrible job and there's no reason for us to be in Afghanistan anyhow. It's almost like they weren't there with eyes glazed over as 9/11 became more than just a chilly New York day late in the year. The men and women who are serving our country right now are fighting an enemy that hates America and all it stands for. They are fighting one of the worst kinds of enemy you can ever come across, the one who actually WANTS to die as they believe it to be holy and justified. We don't fight because we want to, we fight because we have to.
So that all being said, let me publicly, without shame, without fear of ridicule, and without fear of rejection, salute the brave Americans who are currently, previously, or preparing to serve our country. You're doing something I only wished God would've allowed me to do. I place you higher in my heart than any sports star or Hollywood diva anyday. If you are one of those serving and are reading this right now, please know your choice is the very reason I thank God for placing me in the single greatest nation on Earth, period. God bless you and thank you for everything. One day, maybe I'll get a chance to thank you all in the greatest way possible. Until now, all I can give is my thanks and praise.

Left Lane Slowbies
In all seriousness, let's face it, it's not speeding that is dangerous. The danger lies in drivers who are given licenses that shouldn't have one. Those include young drivers who barely pass, elderly drivers who can no longer react quickly enough to drive, and those who cannot read the street signs that are in English. I believe the test should be a lot more stringent. Perhaps doing wet tests, extreme driving tests, heavy traffic tests, and raising the pass/fail score.
Just my thoughts.

The Healthcare Reform Bill passes

So obviously the Healthcare Reform Bill finally got through. Yippp...eeee.... (can't you just see the excitement in that text). By now, we've all got our opinions. Some think this is the end of suffering, troubles, monetary uncertainty, and this will give everyone a better life. You're sorely mistaken if you're one of those. I'm sorry to tell you this, but all this legislation did was take away something you've had for quite sometime now and you've probably not even noticed you had it... freedom. You see, this country was founded on a belief that freedom is the ultimate goal of living. Freedom from tyranny. Freedom from unlawful persecution. Freedom from an overbearing government. We've quickly gone from a country of folks ready and willing to die for freedom, to a country who wants nothing more than Mr. Government to step in and take care of us from the womb to the tomb. I am not one of those. I want the freedom to choose where I (and my Creator... which is God) want my life to go. Here's why I'm not at the point of starting an uprising against our government just yet.
As I type this post, Attorney Generals from at least 38 states (and probably counting) are gearing up to sue the Federal Government the minute Barack Obama's ballpoint touches the parchment for which this bill is printed on. The moment his pen rises from the paper revealing an ink smear resembling his signature, the US Government will be entangled in a vicious lawsuit deeming this Healthcare garbage, unconstitutional.
How is it unconstitutional? It goes agains the 10th Amendment to the very Constitution. It's forcing states to fund a bill that will literally cost each state billions that they really don't have. How does that affect you? Well the state will immediately have to raise taxes on you because it cannot print it's own money like the Federal Gov't can. So We the People will be footing the bill (pun intended). So you know on Tax Day when you 'get money back.' You know how you're always excited because the State Tax is usually less money taken out than Federal, be prepared to see that number go shoot skyward. Last time I checked, you don't get all that money back either. So say good bye to cash that, for no fault of your own, is now gone forever.
This bill is also forcing We the People to pay money for simply being alive. "How do you figured that?" I thought you'd NEVER ask! Well, you're now, by law, required... I'll repeat... required to purchase healthcare or prepare to pay HUGE fines. I believe last I checked, the fines were somewhere in the 600 dollar range. "Who's going to enforce it? I'll just not return the mail." 16,500 IRS agents are being employed to simply ensure you're buying enough healthcare (that's right, if you undercut and don't buy the required amount of healthcare, you'll still get fined). Last time I checked, the IRS isn't exactly an entity we all enjoy dealing with.
That last paragraph brought to mind yet another negative on this bill. The amount of healthcare you're required to buy. You'll be required, again by law, to buy healthcare. Not JUST healthcare, but even healthcare you potentially don't even need. Yep. You're hard earned greenbacks will pay for surgeries you'll never have, operations you'll never endure, and visits to clinics you might not ever set foot in. Pretty crummy if you ask me.
Ultimately folks, this is garbage because it's taking away our right to choose NOT to buy healthcare. Last time I needed to go to the hospital for immediate care, I was not declined. I had to pay for it and it was definitely expensive but that was my choice and my right. In fact, I'll disclose. It was just over 1k bucks for a shot, a pill, a perscription, and 10 minutes on a hospital bed. I payed that out of my pocket. No insurance to speak of. Let me pick your brain. This is very similar to the abortion argument (which any discussions on whether abortion is right or wrong will not be tolerated here as there is a time and place for that). The Pro-Choice crowd says "a woman should be able to choose whether or not she gets an abortion." Ok. Well let's extend reality for a second and say the Government wanted to step in and tell a woman that "The baby has a slight risk for _ _ _ _ _ and we feel that that's just too risky. You'll have to get an abortion." Now, replace some keywords with others and see just what happens. "You don't have healthcare coverage for _ _ _ _ _ so we feel that you'll have to pay to get coverage with your own money." If you allow the government to step in and tell you what you can do with your rights, then there will eventually be no limit to where they'll take it.
I'll leave you with this folks. It's a saying that if you haven't heard it, let me be glad to be the first to show it to you. "A government big enough to give you everything, is also big enough to take everything away."

The Beginning of Many Ends...
You see, the title of this post is "The Beginning of Many Ends..." What does that mean? Well, this is the beginning of my new life in politics. Sure, it's not a glorious start and it's not exactly the Oval Office. However, many folks begin in this very fashion and go on to live exciting new lives as commentators, staff of politicians, or even politicians themselves. Is that my ultimate goal? Not exactly. If it happens, great. However, my goal here is a simple one. To provide, what I believe to be, the best coverage of what's going on in our country today while being fair and unbiased. Let me tell you right now that I consider myself to be a more Conservative with Libertarian trimmings. Can I honestly be 100% unbiased all the time? Nope. However, I am willing to see both sides and to discuss the issues.
The title of this post also relates to the most recent piece of historic legislation, The Healthcare Reform Bill. I believe this to be the beginning of the end of the country as we know it ONLY if something isn't done to stop it. Luckily for me, folks way smarter than I are already well on that ball, and I'll be happy to explain that.
The title also notes one last thing. Today is the beginning of the rest of my (and quite possibly your) life. A pretty intense thought but very easy to understand. You see, every day brings to us a new beginning. A chance to change our lives forever. You'll never know what lie in store for you in the morning but rest assured that even if it's something as uneventful as you finding a twenty dollar bill in your pants pocket from last week, you're forever changed because of it. You'll never be the same as you were yesterday.
So welcome! Welcome to anyone who's willing to follow my antics along the way. I may get off-topic at times and I may post sometimes about things COMPLETELY unrelated to politics. Bear with me. I'm a human being and occasionally I like to have a little "me" time. Thanks for reading thus far and hopefully I can make you feel like a better person and have given you some inspiration to be great, because if I can't inspire you, I fear no one else might.
